Further allocation of places to be released in the new year

After an initial allocation of over 3,000 early places were filled, public entries have temporarily closed. A further 1,500 places will be released in the New Year. We are expecting them to be very popular, with some distances (including the infamous Devil) close to capacity.

You can however, make sure that you beat the rush and register for priority access. This means that you will be contacted with a VIP link ahead of the public launch allowing you to guarantee your entry and place on the start line in 2024!

About Dragon Ride

The Dragon Ride is one of the oldest and most iconic sportives in the UK,  renowned as being the toughest  and most legendary in the British Isles. It will, once again, be returning to Margam Park for what will be the 20th edition in 2024. It regularly attracts over 4,000 riders each year with many returning to move up a distance or beat their previous time.

Lou Lusardi birthed the very first Dragon Ride in 2004, with just 280 riders, he was inspired by the popularity of Italian Gran Fondo’s in his home country. At the time there were only a handful of sportives in the UK and Lou saw an opportunity to bring this type of event to the Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons). An insight that has proven correct and stood the test of time, with thousands every year now slaying the gruelling Dragon Ride.
