Top Moments from 2025 Dragon Ride
This year over 4,700 cyclists signed up to take on 2025 Dragon Ride, from determined first-timers to seasoned Dragon Slayers. Thousands descended upon Bannau Brycheiniog (the Brecon Beacons) today for the 21st edition of the Dragon Ride. The legendary sportive, known as one of the UK’s toughest cycling challenges, lived up to its reputation, pushing riders to their limits on an epic day of climbing and camaraderie. The Famous Feed Station Fuel
A quirky and beloved tradition, the Dragon Ride’s signature salty potatoes were a welcome sight for thousands of riders at the feed stations. These humble yet vital snacks provided a much-needed energy boost, keeping spirits high and legs turning all the way to the finish.
Small Wheels, Big Challenge
Amidst a sea of carbon fibre road bikes, one rider stood out, taking on the daunting Welsh climbs on a classic Brompton folding bike. Drawing smiles and cheers of encouragement from fellow participants, this determined cyclist proved that the spirit of the Dragon is not about the bike, but about the will to persevere.

The incredible efforts of the participants in raising funds for Macmillan Cancer Support was a true highlight of the day. The Dragon Ride community once again demonstrated its immense generosity, raising more than £130,000. to make a significant impact for people affected by cancer.
