How to Enter the 2027 Dragon Ride

WHAT IS THE DATE OF THE 2027 DRAGON RIDE?

Over 4,800 participants signed up for the 2026 Dragon Ride, making the 22nd edition the largest in the last 5 years. The UK’s toughest sportive will return on Sunday 13th June 2027. Capacity is strictly limited places are available.

WHAT DISTANCES ARE AVAILABLE?

  1. Cymru Classic – 99km with 1,350m elevation
  2. Medio Fondo – 153km with 2,332m elevation
  3. Grand Fondo – 222km with 3,583m elevation
  4. Dragon Devil – 298km with 4,504m elevation

2027 ENTRY INFORMATION

For each of the 4 distances, we have the following entry types available:

  • Individual Entry – Entry for one person: includes your 2026 medal, event day parking, post-event meal and more.
  • Premium Entry – Includes everything in the individual entry PLUS your event day photos and engraved medal insert (iTab)
  • Groups of 4 Entry – Everything included in the Individual Entry for four people.

WHEN WILL 2027 ENTRIES BE RELEASED?

2027 entries are now available for a limited time. Join us on Sunday 13 June 2027 to tackle the legendary climbs of the Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons), those who enter in this period will also get Priority Access to 2027 L’Étape du Tour.

 

Demand for places each year is high, and capacity is capped to ensure a quality experience.

Everyone who signs up for the 2027 Dragon Ride will experience the epic Welsh scenery and take on some of the UK’s toughest climbs, along with their rider pack posted out in advance, and awesome finish line rewards.

You’ll also experience the same spectacular views the pro peloton will face during the 2027 Tour de France Grand Départ, cresting Rhigos Mountain in the Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) along the route of Stage 3 from Welshpool  > Cardiff.
