New Year, New Routes

We’re kicking off the New Year with a big shake up for the 2026 Dragon Ride. This June, we’ll be reversing the routes, turning your favourite descents into testing climbs and giving recent Dragon Slayer’s a whole new challenge to conquer.

Switching direction means familiar roads will feel completely transformed. Those flowing downhill sections you once cruised through will now become epic, character building ascents. Meanwhile, other parts of the route will open up with views and vantage points you may never have fully appreciated before. The panoramas you come for, from the sweeping valleys to dramatic ridgelines, will remain as breathtaking as ever, just seen from an entirely new angle.

And don’t worry, your beloved Dragon Ride staples aren’t going anywhere. You’ll still cross the finish line to a well earned medal and a hearty meal, and the feed stations will remain packed with all your favourites (yes, the legendary salted potatoes are absolutely still on the menu).
